The Indian Red Cross Society under the promotion of the health scheme has granted one unit to the college for the benefit of the needy and poor students. A qualified member of the staff imparts training in Nursing. First-Aid, Sanitation & Hygiene.



Students who get themselves enrolled as members of the Youth Club will have to pay Rs. 25/- as Youth Club fee. Hobby Clubs function under the aegies of the Youth Club of the college. An extra fee Rs. 20/- or Rs. 25/- shall be charged depending upon the nature of the hobby. Any new hobby can be started on the suggestion of the students provided the group is not less than 20 members. At present Painting, Photography and Electronics hobbies are available.



To provide guidance to students in the choice of careers and course of students best suited to their aptitudes, interests and other related factors, Employment information and Guidance Bureau is functioning in Guru Nanak Dev University Campus, Amritsar. The bureau is jointly set up by the University and Employment Department and provides information and guidance service to the students of the University Teaching Departments affiliated colleges regarding the choice of the studies, their employment outlook , the facilities for general bureau also provides counseling for the choice of suitable careers and provides information about competitive examination, stipends, scholarships, fellowships, travel grants and job opportunities.

Students are advised in their own interest to contact the Bureau either personally or by post at the above noted address before making a final choice of their courses. The Bureau welcomes enquires regarding the nature of work.


An annual college magazine titled "Bharat Netri" which means the sight of India is generally published. Contributions are invited by December of every year for the English, Punjabi, Hindi, Sanskrit, Planning Forum, Commerce and Science section of the Magazine.

Tutorial Groups System is working very effectively in the college. Students have been grouped into tutorial groups & each group is put under the charge of a teacher, who is a guide, friend & philosopher for the students.


Under the aegis of U.G.C. the college has been running improvement and remedial classes for students who are week and deficient in their concerned disciplines. For this special tutors are appointed by the college.

Special classes are also held for Educational improvement of Minority Communities.
