Security of women on campus
Our college has decided to implement all the recommendations of the University Grants Commission's task force that recently undertook a nationwide review of the measures for safety and security of women on campuses and programmes for gender sensitization.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken decisive step for safety and security of girl students and woman teachers in colleges, campuses and educational institutions across the country in accordance with the “Saksham,” a report of the Task Force set up by UGC to “Review the measures for ensuring safety and security of women in campuses and programmes for gender sensitization.”
On the recommendation of SAKSHAM report our college has set up a group of faculty. The objective is to review existing arrangements that are currently in place on campuses to ensure freedom, safety and security of girls, and of youth in general. The move was also in line with the UGC's policy of zero tolerance regarding harassment of any kind.
Our college has following measures for the safety of girls students:
1) Campus patrolling guards.
2) Vigilance Committees.
3) Security guards.
4) Complaint Box.
5) Contact Numbers of Faculty Members displayed on the Notice Boards.
Further the following members are deputed for the implementation:
